StayLog Privacy Policy

StayLog is a browser extension sold by Mohan P ("we"). This policy explains what the extension stores and where data goes.
What StayLog stores
StayLog runs in your browser. The addresses of the pages you choose to watch, the values it reads from them, the change history, the page text it captures when a change happens, your alert rules and your settings are stored in your browser's local storage on your computer. StayLog has no user accounts and no analytics or tracking.
What leaves your computer
• License check. When you activate, your license key is sent to Gumroad to confirm your purchase.
• Your alert providers. When an alert fires, your browser sends the alert text directly to the service you set up (Telegram, Slack, Discord, your webhook, Resend for email, or Twilio for WhatsApp). Their terms and fees apply to you. We do not receive these messages.
• The pages you watch. To check a page, StayLog opens it in a background tab in your own browser, using your own sign-in, exactly as if you had opened it.
Nothing else is sent to us.
Alert credentials
Telegram bot tokens, Slack, Discord and webhook addresses, and Resend or Twilio keys are stored only in your browser. They are never sent to us, never synced and never included in backup files.
Optional cloud sync and share links (only in versions where it is turned on)
If you turn on Backup & sync, your watched page addresses, values, change history and property names are sent to the StayLog sync server, in a workspace identified by a scrambled form of your license key. The server adds a time and a signature to each change so it can be verified later. A share link uploads the report you choose, which may include guest names, reservation details and prices; anyone with the link can open it until it expires or you revoke it. Sync is off unless you turn it on.
Guest data
Reservation pages can contain your guests' personal data. You decide which pages to watch and what to share, and you are responsible for handling that data lawfully (for example under GDPR or India's DPDP Act) and for any notice your guests are owed.
Payments
Payments are handled by Gumroad under its own privacy policy. We receive the order details Gumroad provides to sellers, such as your email address and license key.
Your control
Untick values you don't want stored, delete watches, or remove the extension to erase its local data. To ask about data held on the sync server, email us.

We will post updates to this page and change the date above.
